In light of the health and safety restrictions imposed on public gatherings in response to the coronavirus outbreak, this concert has been canceled. If you have tickets for our May 23 concert, you have three options: donation, exchange, or refund. You may donate them as a tax-deductible contribution to the NBSO, exchange them for a future concert, or request a refund by emailing asmith@nbsymphony.org or calling the NBSO office at (508) 999-6276 and leaving a message. (We are currently working remotely but are checking voice mail and will return your call as soon as possible.)

Chicago Symphony’s principal percussionist, Cynthia Yeh, demonstrates her astonishing mastery in Kalevi Aho’s Percussion Concerto. The orchestra opens this all-Finnish concert with Lotta Wennakoski’s intangible music and closes with Sibelius’s majestic Fifth Symphony in what is bound to be an unforgettable season finale.
