The Woodwinds Project

Beautiful sights and sounds! While our September 12 season-opening concert was limited to strings and percussion, we miss ALL our NBSO musicians! So to help usher in the 2020-2021 season, our woodwind musicians got together to perform “Variations on a Shaker Melody” from Appalachian Spring by Aaron Copland (arr. Jeff Louie) at The Gardens at Elm Bank at the Massachusetts Horticultural Society in Wellesley. Featuring Timothy Macri, flute; Vanessa Holroyd, flute; Larua Shamu, oboe; Laure Pardee Schaefer, English horn; Nicholas Brown, clarinet; Margo McGowan, bass clarinet; Michael Mechanic, bassoon.
