Adam Jeffreys

Education Specialist

Adam Jeffreys is a violinist with a passion for contemporary music, pedagogy, and orchestral performance. He has worked with multiple educational organizations including the Harmony Project, Stringendo Inc., and the Bard Conservatory. He was also a secondary violin instructor at the Oberlin Conservatory and a temporary violin teacher at the West Island Music Academy in Montreal. While Adam was attending the Oberlin Conservatory, he served on the administrative team for the conservatory’s annual children’s concert, where he narrated Peter and the Wolf in 2016. Adam was a graduate fellow with The Orchestra Now (TON) from 2020 to 2023, where he served as a concertmaster and principal second violinist. He was a concertmaster for the Lucerne Contemporary Festival Orchestra in the summer of 2021, and L’Orchestre de la Francophonie in the summer of 2019. He has also worked with other ensembles including the Sinfonia de l’Ouest, Orchestre Philharmonique et Choeur des Mélomanes, and Montreal Music Collective (where he also served as a grant writer). Adam is currently a section second violinist with the New Bedford Symphony Orchestra, and a contracted violinist with Symphoria in Syracuse. He received a BM from the Oberlin Conservatory in 2018 and a MM from McGill University in 2020.
