World-renowned violinist Pinchas Zukerman and brilliant cellist Amanda Forsyth perform Brahms’ Double Concerto, a piece full of beauty, virtuosity, and humor. The second half of this concert explores different kinds of love by two French masters. Messiaen turns the orchestra into a church organ and uses intoxicating harmonies to depict his relationship with God. Ravel creates a world of lush, vivid images to tell the ancient Greek story of Daphnis and Chloe in his greatest masterpiece.
