Music in the Streets! (And Parks Too!)

Summer 2021 Pop-Up Concerts

 

Join members of the New Bedford Symphony Orchestra or the Southeastern Massachusetts Youth Orchestras (SEMAYO) in various locations around New Bedford this summer for fun with music!

All performances in parks will take place in the playground area.

 JULY

July 8, 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm, Tonnessen Park on MacArthur Drive with Ethan Wood (violin) and Anna Griffis (viola). In conjunction with July AHA! and DATMA’s Water 2021.

July 10, 10:00 am – 11:00 am, New Bedford Whaling National Historical Park with members of SEMAYO.

July 13, 11:00 am – 12:00 pm, Buttonwood Park with Peter Zay (cello) and Emmy Holmes-Hicks (violin)

July 14, 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm, Buttonwood Park with Bonnie Harlow (cello), Tim Macri (flute), and Jenny Memoli (violin)

SEPTEMBER

September 9, 5:30 – 7:30 pm, New Bedford National Historical Park with the NBSO Brass Quartet. A special AHA performance in celebration of the National Park’s 25th anniversary!
